About Me
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults, couples, and adolescents. Over the course of my work, I have supported clients in moving through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions in ways that help them feel more grounded, connected, and able to live in alignment with their values.
My clinical focus includes helping clients reduce the impact of anxiety and mood symptoms, heal from trauma and complex PTSD, improve relationship patterns, navigate attachment and intimacy difficulties, and find steadier footing during significant life changes. I also have extensive experience supporting healthcare professionals in managing burnout, stress, and the emotional demands of caregiving roles, with the goal of restoring balance, clarity, and a greater sense of well-being.
I believe that meaningful therapy begins with a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. My approach is interpersonal, relational, and individualized, drawing from multiple evidence-based and experiential approaches to meet each person where they are. I strive to create an environment that is warm, nonjudgmental, and honest—one in which clients can better understand themselves, recognize patterns that may no longer serve them, and develop greater emotional balance and self-awareness.
My style is warm, engaged, and compassionate while also being direct when it is helpful. I bring humor and humanity into the therapeutic relationship and believe therapy can provide a space not only for healing, but also for meaningful growth and change.
Over the course of my career, I have worked with individuals and couples experiencing a wide range of concerns, including:
● Depression and anxiety
● Trauma and complex PTSD
● Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
● Eating disorders and body image concerns
● Relationship and attachment difficulties
● Infidelity and relationship repair
● Sexual and intimacy concerns
● Addiction and codependency
● Major life transitions
● Concerns specific to healthcare professionals
My goal is to help clients develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and underlying beliefs so they can make more intentional choices and move toward a life that feels more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.
Professional Training & Therapeutic Approach
Throughout my 20 years in practice, I have pursued advanced training in a variety of therapeutic approaches. Rather than relying on a single model, I thoughtfully integrate different modalities based on each client’s individual needs, history, and goals.
My training includes:
● Internal Family Systems (IFS)
● Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
● Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
● Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
● Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
● Post-Induction Therapy (PIT), an approach addressing codependency, developmental trauma, and relational patterns
● Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Levels 1 and 2
● Mindfulness-based approaches
EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches can be particularly helpful in addressing traumatic experiences and the ways those experiences continue to influence emotions, relationships, and patterns in the present.
Ultimately, I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we work toward greater insight, emotional flexibility, healthier relationships, and meaningful, sustainable change.
Consultation & Insurance
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process. I offer a complimentary phone consultation to help determine whether my experience and approach are a good fit for your needs. If I believe another clinician or resource would better serve you, I am always happy to provide referrals whenever possible.
As of January 1, 2024, I am an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. I can provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I encourage clients to contact their insurance provider directly to understand their individual out-of-network benefits.
A limited number of sliding-scale appointments may be available.
